knowledge.tradeform.au (the Knowledge Base) is a free educational reference for Australian construction and business topics, published by TradeForm Pty Ltd (TradeForm, we, us). Each entry is an editorial summary written from primary sources and reviewed by a named individual.

Content on this site is general information only. It is not legal, engineering, building surveying, financial, taxation, or any other professional advice. Reading an entry does not create a professional relationship between you and TradeForm, between you and any named reviewer, or between you and any third party referenced.
Before relying on any content for a real-world decision (a contract, a defect rectification, a build, a payment), you must verify the position with a qualified, currently-licensed professional in your jurisdiction. Laws, standards, and regulator guidance change. We cannot guarantee that any entry is current to the minute.
3. Citations and copyright
We cite primary sources by title, publisher, and URL. We do not republish the text of copyrighted Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, or state legislation. Where an entry quotes a short pinpoint, it does so under fair dealing for review or study and attributes the source.

4. API and AI use
Programmatic access via the REST API and the MCP server is available at metered tiers. You agree, by using an API key, to (a) show the entry's named reviewer and last-verified date wherever you surface content to an end-user, (b) preserve the disclaimer text alongside the content, and (c) not use the content to train competing knowledge bases for redistribution.
5. No warranty
The Knowledge Base is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeForm and its reviewers exclude all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeForm and its reviewers are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect, consequential, or economic loss) arising from your use of, or reliance on, content on this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to AUD $100.
7. Reporting errors
If you spot an error on an entry, contact the named reviewer via the link on the entry page, or email knowledge@tradeform.au. We act on substantiated reports within a reasonable time.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
